Life Cycle of the Lilliputians
The Lilliputians (Lilliputus vulgaris) are pond-dwelling organisms living ~300 Ma in the future, in the aquatic portion of an environment roughly analogous to lowland forests of present day. Despite their visual similarity to bacteriophages or cephalopods, further analysis of their life cycle suggests such a relationship to be unlikely. They appear to exist in symbiosis with large, bone-white helical structures, although it is unclear whether these structures are organisms themselves or are anthropogenic in nature.
